Hello Class and Professor,

Case management and therapy are two different areas. Case management does not focus on just one problem, it would focus on the strengths, needs, and personal concerns a person has. Therapy helps treat an illness or a disease. When you seek a therapist, you undertake a careful examination of the patient’s condition, and you offer them treatment according to the research you have done. On the other hand, case management deals with healthy lifestyles and aversion or recurrence of certain disease. A case manager creates a plan that specifically fits that situation for their client. In case management you need to have great listening ability. A case manager would be able to help people solve their problems like receiving temporary housing, food stamps, medical assistance/ homeless shelters etc.
