- Civil Rights and Equal Pay
Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 bans discrimination in pay and other compensation based upon race, color, religion, sex or national origin. The Equal Pay Act of 1963 makes it illegal for employers to pay men and women different wages for doing the same job.
