In general, with proper notice, a physician can terminate a patient from the physician’s practice. If a patient admitted to the hospital refuses to comply with care, is hostile and screams and threatens employees, can the hospital “terminate” or refuse care to the patient and require the patient to leave prior to medical discharge by the patient’s attending physician?
