Effects of McDonaldization
Consider what you have read on McDonaldization in your text and on the website. Now, research how those characteristics are being applied to how food is produced. What impact do those characteristics have to the animals we eat, i.e., chickens, cattle, turkey. What is the impact to the land used to raise those animals? How do these practices impact the people who work to produce our food? Choose one or two characteristics of McDonaldization and apply them to our food system. Consider the positives and negatives of the example you present.
