SUPPORT STRATEGIES USED BY FAITH-BASED COUNSELORS OF ADULT CHILDREN OF PREVIOUSLY INCARCERATED PARENTS: A CASE STUDY
A case study is a method that involves different approaches to collect data and the process of analyzing the data. The case study method is often used in the fields of education, clinical psychology, business, and sociology. Case studies help evaluate, compare, understand and describe various research problems (McCombes, 2019). Therefore, the case study design involves both qualitative and quantitative methods. The methodology of case studies is exploratory, explanatory, and descriptive (Yin, 2017). The descriptive method describes a particular phenomenon, while the explanatory case study explains why things came to be and why some events did not happen. There are typically different forms of data collected within one paradigm of a case study.
