LAB 6. PART 1
COLLAGE REPORT
In Lab 6 you will research the collage in history, and write a paragraph
(including examples) of an artist who worked in the collage medium.
Make sure to check out the Collage Artists & Inspiration posting to become
familiar with some collage artists.
REQUIREMENTS: (artist: pablo picasso )
• At least one paragraph (300-400 words) about an artist from the 20th
century who worked making collages.
And one fun finding you discovered about the collage art form.
(write in ms word or a word processing software that has spell check, word
count, and appropriate grammar check)
• Include at least one example of collage art done by the artist.
• Include a headline (that refers to what you discovered about the artist
or their work) and identify the artworks you include in the
report (name of artwork & year made.)
Part 2
Typeface Report:
• Choose a typeface that you will may use in the collage and write one
paragraph about it (approx 100 words). Identify the typeface style, its
designer, when it was made and anything else you find that you think is
important.
• Provide one reason for choosing the typeface.
• Describe two distinguishing characteristic(s) about the typeface
specifically referring to its: counter(s) and serif or terminal
construction, or other distinguishing parts.
