This ERD is a diagram showing the Students, Courses, IoT devices, departments, and Teacher’s entities and how they are related. This allows the courses to relate to each student while it separates the teachers from the students and keeps track of each as it relates to the course ID. It also shows each device that is assigned to the students, teacher, and departments as well. The diagram relates each database based of the course ID and will not mix any other infromation to keep names and other infromation from becoming intermingled.
The table will keep track of teacher/student relationships by tracking the commonality of each student when compared to the teacher’s course ID of the classes they are teaching. This is a requirement of YODAE, they wanted to track student/teacher relationships. Each student is attached to a course ID as well as the teacher. With this specific course id you will be able to look up infromation on each student and teacher in regard to the specific infromation such as name, age, academic year and when they took this particular course. This also assigns the IoT devices to each teacher, student, and class ID that is a requirement of company as well. This will allow the school to track what student and teacher are using what device as well as what classes they are used in. This is also a requirement; each device will have its own id and will allow the id to show what device it is to keep track of the device.
