- a logically reasoned critiqueof the theoretical development, main argument or specific points being discussed, placed in context with ONE additional outside source.
Generally, your synthesized summary will:
- introduce the argumentative theme running through the selection of readings you are analyzing.
- provide an explanation of the concepts, purpose, and/or key ideas forming the framework behind the argumentative theme.
Generally, your critical analysis might (but not always):
- address the nature of the evidenceused in constructing the main argument and/or development of theory.
- identify key step(s) or argument(s) in the theoretical approach or use of terminology.
- explain the significanceof the assigned works in theory development, using your outside source as an example.
